I have been with Buckeye Service Dogs since November of 2013. Since then, Christy has not only become an amazing mentor, but a part of my family. BSD has become a huge part of my life and I dont forsee that changing any time soon.

Buckeye Service Dogs provides several types of service animals. All dogs are custom trained to meet your unique needs and the majority of the dogs are rescues. Some come with serious, but curable medical conditions, others have never had a loving home. By using unwanted animals, BSD is able to not only better the lives of the consumers they serve, but also save the lives of some wonderful, undervalued animals that deserve a second chance.

I have known the owners of Dogtopia since April of 2018 when they hired me to train their dog before Dogtopia Columbus-Dublin was even a thought. In May of 2019 they contacted me to ask if I would be the trainer for Dogtopia and I was elated to say yes!

Dogtopia of Columbus-Dublin is a local, family-owned business that’s dedicated to treating your precious pet like they’re part of the family. They offer a variety of high-quality doggie services including daycare, boarding, training and spa treatments. Owners Jeff and Amie Swaddling are dedicated to keeping your four-legged family members safe and happy when they’re in their care.

I started following Grant in 2017. Since then I have consulted with him on training cases and in June of 2019 took his intensive 6 hour online course on Remote Training Collars.

Grant Teeboon is a Royal Australian Air Force, Police Dog Handler, Trainer, Instructor, Assessor and Developer with 33 years service before retiring in 2012. Grant now runs a business called ‘The Paw Man’ where he specializes in fixing canine behaviour problems with an emphasis on aggression, dominance and disobedient behaviour.

Grant also acts as a consultant for state and local governments on issues relation to the use and regulation of Remote Training Collars. Grant runs a popular Facebook page with over 80,000 followers and a global reach of up to a million dog owners around the world.

Although retired from the force Grant also provides training courses for local and interstate Police Dog Squads on the use of Remote Training Collars for Service and Police Dogs.

The owner of The Gated Dock, Marie Buckingham is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and an amazing handler! I met Marie after getting in to the Dock Diving world in June of 2019. She has helped me in my journey of training my dog to become more well trained in Dock Diving.

Marie has spent 1000's of hours working with hundreds of dogs. Her experience includes 7 1/2 years working closely with the local county Sheriff Department's K-9 program, as a veterinary technician, boarding kennel Attendant, and AKC CGC Evaluator, as well a 4-H Obedience judge. She recently became Certified in Pet CPR, as well as earning her Certification as a dog trainer through the Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Marie has the experience and knowledge to teach your dog in basic obedience or dock jumping. She can take an experienced dog to the next level, in competition or train for a new discipline.

I have known these guys since October of 2015.

Storm Dog is the best there is when it comes to training home protection dogs and police K9s. I have seen their operations and the way they treat, handle, and train their dogs and it is exactly how you would expect professional, knowledgeable handlers to be. All of the trainers have real world experience in being a K9 handler and understand exactly what it takes to make these dogs the best they can be.

Dr. Mann and his staff are downright phenomenal. I have been using them as my primary veterinarian since 2014 and could not be happier with my experiences at this clinic. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and caring and the prices are incredibly fair.

Dr. Mann's clinic offers physical exams and routine care, vaccinations, heartworm prevention and treatment, dental cleaning and extractions, surgery, spay/neuter, declaw, laser surgery, lump removal, ACL repair, eyelid surgery, anal gland surgery, hernia repair, X-Rays, laboratory services , in house blood analysis, urinalysis, pet microchipping, ultrasound imaging, in-house pharmacy and compound/flavor prescriptions.

I worked for Willow Wood from March through December of 2016.

The staff there are some of the most caring people I have ever been around and the facility is one of the cleanest I have seen.  The daycare attendants and lodging staff are trained in canine CPR, first aid, and have training in understanding canine behavior and body language. Each dog that is at Willow Wood is cared for as if they were a member of the staff's own family.

Willow Wood is also connected to a veterinary clinic, Willow Wood Animal Hospital. Although they are separate businesses, the Animal Hospital gives many clients peace of mind. Dr. Whiteman and Dr. Hess are incredible veterinarians and take great care of their patients.

I had the pleasure of atteding one of Debby Kay's Super Sniffer Clinics in June of 2015.

Debby is an internationally acclaimed trainer and a retired government research scientist that was involved in the early start-up of search and rescue dogs in the United States. Debby is in the forefront today of the fast-growing field of medical detection dogs with a focus in Type I Diabetes.

Debby's world-renowned training methodology of is one of the most reliable scent detection programs available. Focused on making her knowledge available to anyone in need, the Sweet Snoopers program is being offered online for your convenience.

BSD Trainer and friend, Anneliese Eaken is the owner of Ruby Paws. Not only is she a great trainer, but she is an amazing artist! She makes incredibly detailed collars, leads, belts, and other leather products. Her inspiration for making collars started with her two dogs; Parker a lab/shepherd/husky mix, and Summit, a saluki.

Buckeye Service Dogs loves getting dogs from here!

Heritage Farm provides a second chance for dogs and other animals, large and small. They have reasonable rescue fees and a very accurate description of each dog. Heritage Farms Animal Rescue is a 501c3 group of volunteers whose main purpose is to provide temporary foster homes for animals saved from shelters, pounds, breeders, and owner surrenders. All of their animals are in foster homes until they are adopted where they are provided with the love and socializing they need.
